We can't wait to meet you Lily Loftin!

Mary, Sara, Sarah and I (the old 4th grade team at RSE) met to celebrate the almost arrival of Sarah's baby. Little Lily Loftin will be coming very soon. We met at Brio at Easton for a wonderful dinner. We each bought Lily a new book to start her off reading from the get go! Here is the card I created to honor the occasion.

2 more down!

Congratulations Megan and Christy... you completed your PRAXIS 3 evaluations. I am confident that you both did a great job. These are the cards I create to encourage the girls. I am a big fan of the light blue card with the floral background. I used a couple blue gemstones for some added bling!

From the Archives... via Mary's house

I didn't realize how much I loved the owl stamps until  started keeping track of the cards I make.

I made this card for my dear friends and "teammate" Mary last year. When I told her about my blog she told me she framed this card. She brought it to me for me to snap a photo to add to my page. So here it is...

Happy Birthday Ellie!

Eliana turned 6 years old on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd. It is hard to believe the little girls are growing up. I am so blessed to be a part of her life. H

This is the card I made to celebrate her 6th birthday. Don't you just love the cute little owl.

A little birdie told me...

These four cards will be auctioned off early next month at the Riverside Elementary PTO Pancake Dinner. We are trying to raise needed funds for our budget. Part of the proceeds will also help fund the school "Otter" initiatives. The otter is the Riverside's new mascot. So if you would like to own these lovely birdie cards... come out on March 5th to RSE and put in your best offer!

This one is for Kami, another teacher friend taking PRAXIS 3 tomorrow. Good Luck I know you are going to ROCK-IT!

The PRAXIS is the big evaluation for first year teachers. Once they are evaluated they are then dubbed by the state ready to teach... Thankfully I graduated and started teaching one year before they started the PRAXIS.

I am in love with owls at the moment. I keep seeing them everywhere. I can't help using them in the cards I make.
This one is for Mara a new teacher I am mentoring... Good Luck with PRAXIS 3! I know you can do it!

Happy Birthday!

This is a sign created for Friday Birthday Treats at Riverside Elementary School (RSE). Every Friday we celebrate teacher and staff birthdays with a delicious breakfast. We are well known in our district for our food.

If you want to know how I made it just ask. I'd be glad to share my process.

Dabbling in something new!

I have decided to try my hand at something new. My aunt and I are what you call dabblers. We like to try lots of new things. Sometimes I find that I am really good at a new project and other times I find I just like the idea of it and I am not very good. This has been true for a very long time. I remember trying my hand at cross stitching because my mom and everyone she new all created beautiful pictures with a needle and thread. I thought it couldn't be that hard. Well... it was for me. I got halfway through my two inch little whale and gave up. I tried playing the guitar for about a week. Once my fingers started to hurt, oh and my mom said why don't you try something else I abandoned that. I just love the idea of being able to say I am a guitar player or a cross stitcher, but alas I am not. I am on the other hand good at making card to give to other people. I have decided that I want to keep record of the cards that I make and give away. I don't want to sell the cards I make. I think the joy of making them would vanish if I sold them. I know a lot of people, my sister included that love to make and sell their creations... but not me. So this is my attempt to blog and keep record of the things I create as I dabble through the world of paper.
